Our Cessna 172M is based at Watts-Woodland Airport (O41) in Woodland, California. It is a proven, honest airplane, well suited to training flights, proficiency work, and local cross-country flying.

Please read the full agreement below. It governs every rental of the Airframe Cessna 172M.
The undersigned renter ("Renter") acknowledges that general aviation involves inherent risks, including risk of serious bodily injury, death, and property damage, arising from causes that include but are not limited to mechanical failure, weather, pilot error, and the acts or omissions of other persons. Renter voluntarily accepts and assumes all such risks, whether known or unknown, arising from or connected with the rental and operation of the Aircraft.
Renter represents and warrants that at all times during the rental period Renter holds a valid and current pilot certificate or, if a student pilot, valid student pilot documentation, together with a current and appropriate medical certificate or qualifying alternative under the Federal Aviation Regulations. Renter further represents that Renter meets all currency, endorsement, and checkout requirements applicable to the flight to be conducted, and that all information provided to Airframe in connection with this rental is true and complete. Student pilots may operate the Aircraft only under the supervision of an appropriately certificated flight instructor and within the limits of their endorsements.
From the time Renter takes possession of the Aircraft until the Aircraft is returned to its designated tie-down or hangar at Watts-Woodland Airport and accepted by Airframe, Renter is responsible for the Aircraft, including its security, its proper operation, and its condition. Renter shall perform a thorough preflight inspection before each flight and shall report any discrepancy, damage, or suspected damage to Airframe immediately. Renter shall not permit any other person to act as pilot in command of the Aircraft during the rental period without prior written approval from Airframe.
Renter shall operate the Aircraft in full compliance with the Federal Aviation Regulations, all applicable federal, state, and local laws, the Aircraft's Pilot's Operating Handbook, all placards and operating limitations, and any written operating rules provided by Airframe. Aerobatic flight, intentional spins, off-airport landings other than in an emergency, and operation on unimproved surfaces are prohibited unless approved in writing by Airframe in advance.
The rental rate of $175 per hour is a dry rate, billed on Hobbs time. Fuel and oil are not included in the rental rate and are the responsibility of Renter. Renter shall use only fuel and oil of the type and grade specified in the Pilot's Operating Handbook. Reimbursement for fuel purchased away from the home field, if any, will be handled as separately agreed with Airframe.
Renter is responsible for all loss of or damage to the Aircraft occurring during the rental period that results from Renter's operation or handling of the Aircraft, to the extent not covered by insurance, and in any event for the applicable insurance deductible for any covered claim arising from Renter's use of the Aircraft. Airframe does not provide insurance covering Renter's liability; Renter may obtain renter's (non-owned aircraft) insurance at Renter's own election. Nothing in this agreement constitutes a waiver by Airframe or its insurers of any right of subrogation or recovery.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renter, on behalf of Renter and Renter's heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, releases, waives, and discharges Airframe, LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, and liabilities of every kind arising from or related to Renter's rental, operation, or occupancy of the Aircraft, including claims arising from the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties, and agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim brought by a third party, including any passenger of Renter, arising from Renter's use of the Aircraft. This release does not extend to gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to any liability that cannot be waived as a matter of law.
If any provision of this agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Venue for any dispute arising under this agreement shall lie in the courts of Napa County, California.
Renter has read this agreement in full, understands it, and signs it freely and voluntarily, intending it to be a release of liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
Signing happens as part of the booking form. By typing your full legal name in the booking form, you agree that it serves as your electronic signature and your acceptance of the terms above.

Every booking on this page is a request, not an instant reservation. Zen Hunter-Ishikawa personally reviews each request, usually within one business day. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email from [email protected]. If we have questions about your qualifications or your plans for the flight, we will reach out first.
The $175 per hour rate is dry, which means fuel is not included. You pay for the fuel you use. Time is billed on the Hobbs meter, which runs whenever the engine is running. You are charged for actual engine time, not for the full block you reserve.
Yes. Plans change, and weather changes them for you. Email [email protected] as early as you can and we will cancel or move your slot. There is no charge for weather cancellations. We ask for as much notice as possible on non-weather changes so another pilot can use the airplane.
The 172M is available for dual instruction, and you are welcome to bring your own CFI. List your instructor's name in the booking form so we can note the flight as dual. Student pilots must fly with an instructor or within the limits of their solo endorsements.
